For a bigger room, chairs are not comfy, tables do not have cupholders, and there is too much noise from the constant poker room announcements and the casino itself (the room is open to the casino). This isn't a good noise/vibe like you find at MGM or Venetian, this is an annoying noise. Compared to its big room competition, the vibe at Mirage is a little too loud and not at all classy or fun. Basically, Mirage just can't compete with its big room rivals.
Combination of local nits and fishy tourists. Game played very tight for the most part, got some late action from a couple of rich tourist donks.
A couple very good dealers, and a couple with no personality and barely adequate skills. Compared to its big room competition, barely acceptable.
Drink service was markedly slow. No premium drinks like at Venetian or Wynn.
Management seemed annoyed at handling list for 1/2NL, and rarely could be bothered to run chips. Lots and lots of announcements for bigger limit hold 'em and omaha games that had interest lists (all the same people, it seemed), but never got going in over 3 hours of play.
Manager advised that, if I "played a few hours over a couple of days", then I "might get a food comp". Not exactly competitive with Venetian and Wynn. No posting or discussion of any poker room rate/discount like found at Venetian, Wynn, or MGM.
