A comfortable, clean room though usually quite crowded. At least they don't stuff the tables and chairs in here like they do at Bellagio.
Played $3-$6 limit for about five hours Sunday afternoon. Table had three or four decent players but always had three or four loose-passive types so there was always money in the pot. Unfortunately, after about two hours I began my card dead run which lasted the remainder of my trip. This was my third time playing at the Mirage and it's always been a beatable game at these limits. Although The Mirage is reputed to have tough games, anyone with sound basic play can do well at the low limits. The Mirage is my favorite place to play poker and I think anyone would enjoy playing here so don't avoid the place 'cause your afraid of the competition.
One interesting note, I was in the Mirage Saturday night watching my wife play BJ at a table near the poker room. I railbirded a $20-$40 game for several orbits and was amazed to see an average of six to the flop! Lots of crazy raising with TP/MP NK hands on scary boards...never saw $20-$40 no fold'em hold'em before.
Good dealers, no problems.
A steady supply of drinks was provided by our cocktail waitress. Good quick service.
Have always had great treatment at the front desk here. Young perky gal was working the desk and immediately helped me find a seat and get some chips. Bellagio could take a lesson.
Didn't ask so don't want to hurt the rating.
