Plenty of room. Good facility. Some tables have shufllemasters some don't. They have added a 1/2 NL game which is popular. In Jan the lowest NL game had 2/5 blinds. Alway plenty of games to choose from. Usually there were 2-3 3/6 games, 1-2 1/2 NL games, and one table each of higher games up to about 20/40 or higher.
Contrary to other reviews I have seen, the competition at the 3/6 level was very loose passive. Most flop would have 5-6 players in them. People only raised with really big hands.
The 1/2 NL game had better players. Generally competant, but not that tricky. The non-standard thing that was going on was the PF raises were usually $10 - $15 (or 5x -10x the big blind). This means you don't get to play as many hands. With the big raises the result would generally be 1/3 of the time one caller, 1/3 of the time 2 callers, 1/3 of the time just blinds. People would limp for $2 and then call the $15 raise pretty routinely. Many pots were not raised and lots of people would see the flop in those hands.
Established room with quality staff.
A little slow at times but OK.
The Mirage has had poker since before poker was cool.
If you stay there you can get a decent break on the room. Otherwise there aren't any comps that I know of.
