Not worth the time or dime! As a regular tournament player in the Las Vegas area I am able to frequent many Poker Rooms. I like too find something in each room that regulars or tourist alike can enjoy about each room, while addressing issues that poker managers might be able to change to make the game better for all players. However I could find nothing about the Planet Hollywood room that I would recommend anyone play there. The management is either completely unaware or blatantly negligent in Poker Rules, As well as unaccommodating to players needs.
First, the Poker room staff is the definition of amateur hour. Because they were unprepared to run a two table tournament we started almost 15min late. They couldn't open the cover to the well which caused one table to move. Secondly a player used one of the four empty tables dealer chair because of an apparent disability and was told he couldn't use the chair because it was a dealers chair. Third, one player was angle shooting nearly every pot he was involved in, by either declaring what he had or by moving chips over the line and then back again. This was brought to the attention to the dealer and the floor and they ruled that it was their house rules and didn't prohibit such behavior.
The room itself is less than desirable. Positioned right outside a very busy Earl of Sandwich restaurant, and adjacent to the shopping mall this is quite a distraction. The noise level with the music from a club across the mall isle makes it very difficult to hear anything that's being said. The tables are quite small to seat 10 players.
Overall I would recommend playing in the basement of your friends house before I could recommend playing at this establishment. I give it a 100% FAIL!
