I thought the room was fine. Very bright, a little too bright for some tastes. Good tables, comfortable chairs, good layout with ease of access to all the tables. @#$% Cat Doll dancers walk through every half hour on their way too/from dressing room so that was always good.
We had several tourists, and few a local grinders at my table. Some seemed to know the dealers personally. But overall not too bad. This was the only room I made a significant profit. Walked away after 6 hours of 1-3 with $475 after buying in for $200.
Jodi, Tommy, Diego, and another kid with brown, curly haid (sorry can't remember his name) were all great. I did have a couple questions about how the room was run because they had a nightly drawing for cash prizes, and a couple other things. They, along with other players, politely answered my questions and kept the game moving. Very professional and polite to all the players. Thanked us for tips. Had another guy there who was even less experience in casino poker than me, was his first time, and the dealers all made sure to explain why certain things were done, what this player needed to, etc. He picked it up quickly.
Waitress came around very often, and the few times I did ask for something she had it back quickly, usually within 2-3 hands.
I showed up and they had a list running. But decided to open a new table since there were enough of us. Got the table up and running within 5 minutes. They were even running chips for us to help get things started. Were running two tournaments at the same time as well, but the room ran smoothly. Seats were quickly filled.
Out of towner rarely here, only played for a few hours so I did not look into this.
