This room is one of the best in Vegas. Great location in the Casino next to the sport book, a bathroom and a deli. It had nice tables with inlaid stone, comfortable chairs, automatic shufflers. Its next to the club so I am sure at night it gets interesting. They have masseuses and food service at the table. The football games were on all over the room on flat screen TVs. Being next to the sports book is fun because every time a big play happens, the place erupts. There are a fair amount of railbirds that come by to watch the outer tables play which gives it a definite Vegas vibe.
I played 1/2 NL Sunday and Monday afternoon. Pots were being opened for usually $10-15, lots of limping too. Its a very good place for a new player to try with a max $200 buy-in. It was a mix of mostly tourists and a few locals.
The dealers were very competent and engaging when interacting. None were overly friendly, which is good in my book, they moved the game along at a good pace and kept everything going smooth.
Well, you won't be too distracted by the cocktail waitresses, at least on the day shift. Good service though, and with everything else the MGM has going on, its really tough to care that much.
Electronic board for cash games, seperate tournament area. I asked to switch tables and was taken care of promptly. Good all around.
$1 an hour with the card. Play an 8 hour day and get a free sandwich! I didn't stay at the MGM, but I know they have poker room rates.
