The MGM poker room is less of a room and more of an open space off to the side. It's new location is not directly off of a main walk path so foot traffic isn't terrible nor is ambient smoke. Chairs are more comfortable than I expected and the tables for the most part are well spread out. I would stop in again on my next trip to Vegas.
Competition:
I played cash games there twice and the game was not tough overall. During the days when I was there, it was generally a tight table with some influxes of good action.
P&C's:
Promotions were good - $100 draws every 4 hours where they randomly select 2-6 people to win $100. This is a good promotion but you pay for it in the rake. Comps are $1/hr which is lower than most places.
Dealers:
Nothing exceptional, nothing bad.
F&D:
I didn't order any food table side. Drinks were good most of the time. There was a stretch where drinks took over 30 minutes. Also, you have to request Fiji (and you get a small bottle) otherwise you get MLIFE water.
Mangement:
No complaints when registering and didn't need any decisions at the table.
