Tables are very nice IMO, the chairs need upgrading for a "world Class" Casino. There seemed too be a lot of non-Poker related traffic in the Poker Area which made the room noisier than needed. I used the Valet Parking that was okay but the guy directing Valet was not very helpful while I was locating my players card. I have never needed a players card to Valet Park before. Be for warned. While the walk was bit long it was still enjoyable. The lighting was very good at the tables without the rest of the room being blaring bright. If the MGM would have better chairs and less non-related traffic and noise I would give them an Excellent rating.
I started on a 1-2 NL table played there several hours several poor players but at least 3-4 other good to very good players, it could of simply bin a case of just that table. I moved up to the 2-5 NL table that was sooooooo sssllloooowww 5-6 player took 2 plus minutes to make any decision. I got to see about 12-14 hands an hour, about fell asleep at the table. I asked and received a table change. The new table action moved at a reasonable pace. The competition was about average for the stakes. There was the loud mouth "Table Captain" middle age and thought he was SUPER PLAYER!!!!! He straddled regularly and would raise with marginal hands. I was in late position when he straddled so I raised 4X the straddle with connecting mid-range cards. Everyone else folded but of course his ego would not let him fold. I flopped 2nd pair plus opened ended straight draw he bets the pot, I shove all in, he calls, and I make the straight. INSTANT TILT!!! Captain makes some crummy remarks too me so I put on my best Country Bumpkin act and ham it up and have fun. This just tended to pull Captain off his game and @#$% him off. I'm internally LMAO at this guy. At about 4am the guy on my left makes cheap azz angle shot pushes a call on the river just short of the bet line. I roll my cards over he wins the pot. I think crap I been playing 13 hours time to go miss something so simple. The dealer explains too me the bet line (which I knew just messed up on). The Captain chided the dealer for giving Poker lesson 101 and he was trying to break me and the dealer should not explain the rules. I thank the dealer for explaining the rules too this Country Boy not too pay attention to angle shooting jerks. I believe that players who condone or use angles to win are week sleazy players. I racked up and cashed out close to $800 starting with about $230. I had fun Captain and crew didn't.
Dealers were good the one that gave me the betting line lesson I gave a nice tip and told him to keep looking out for all the players interests and keep a handle on sleaze bag plays.
Good drinks and they came buy more than I need so the wait was short when I wanted a drink.
The brush desk was very well run and easy to get a table change.
