The atmosphere at MGM is made by its location. Around it is the Centrifuge bar, Studio 54 nightclub, Rainforest Cafe, Sportsbook, Lion Enclosure, Deli, etc. It's not quiet, because clearly it wasn't designed to be. On that basis if you strike up a conversation, players usually respond and the games can be great fun. The room is clean, and the tables and chairs are in good condition. I personally like the marble racetracks around the table.
As everyone appears to agree, the standard of play is very beatable. The location tends to encourage drunk people to turn up and give poker a go. Patience will be rewarded. There is a mix of standards, and it doesn't usually take too long to work out who is who.
Chatty and friendly dealers in the main. And in a week I don't remember a single mistake.
The waitresses are generally attractive, but more importantly they appear often and get you what you want.
Excellent managament of the room. The player list is very well managed and the management are always available.
Usual $1 per hour rate on the players card.
