I am not going to go into detail regarding the room's looks (but they are very nice), but it was my first time to vegas and I literally walked the strip in 1 day and visited every poker room on the strip at every hotel. The MGM is definitely 1 of the top 3 to visit based on room quality.
I only played in the 11am tournament. It seemed like everyone knew how to play at my table. There were a few people who played pretty much every hand, probably because they didnt care since it was only a $65 buy in. I actually made it to the final table. We chopped the pot 4 ways, and I was definitely the cheap leader with about 40-50% of the total chips. I walked out with $600.
The dealers were very good. Not much chatter (which i like in tournaments). The final table dealer took a while to do the math in his head sometimes when he had to add more value chips and take away the $1 and $5 chips.
The girls came around more then enough times for the 4 hours I played. I probably had 6 coronas in that time period.
Management was fantastic. The guy running the tournament always let us know how much each of us would get if we chopped when we got to the final table. He also helped the dealer cash out chips for larger denominations. He also called me "sir" and walked me to my seat. No doubt in my mind I will go back their to play another tournament and some 1-2 NL or 3- NL.
