Room was very classy, I loved the set up of the tables, as there was ample space between tables. The tables and chairs themselves were nice and new, although I could do without the marble trim on the outside. The music can get very loud in the middle of the night, but it is not enough to make you not enjoy the game. Also, the drunk people leaving the club next door late at night can be quite entertaining. Overall a great atmosphere with some cool people to play with.
I would have to rate the competition as average due to the fact that there were lots of players who had no idea what they were doing, a few very drunk players, but also several locals and at least 2 semi pro players (maybe dealers from another casino?) per table. This made it a slightly tough table as you sometimes had 5-7 to the flop, even after a raise. This resulted in many players catching hands on the flop and turn when they should never have been in the hand to begin with. All in all though, if you play tight you really should not have too much trouble posting a profit after several hours. At the end of my 6 hour session I was up about $60, and I am a relatively new, average player.
Some of the dealers were great and knew what they were doing, and a couple had missed deals, dealt cards off the table (saw this happen 3 times in about 6 hours), and started pushing pots to losing players. I guess it just depends on the dealer....at least they change every half hour or so (except late at night)
Cocktail waitresses were very quick in returning with your drink and pleasant to look at. I never had a problem with them forgetting my order or delivering my drink to the wrong player. You can expect a drink every 40 minutes or so. I mostly stuck to Heineken and Red Bull (as the night ran out)
The management was very organized and quick about getting you to your seat and getting your chips to you. It was nice to see the room managers come and visit for a few seconds at each table to see how things were going and if the players had any questions, comments, or any issues. Very nicely put together
I believe that the dealers said that comps were accumulated at 1 per hour. There is no high hand or bad beat jackpot. I did not use any comps, so I am not unsure on this, but I think 1 an hour is pretty decent
