It's not so much a room, but a semi-open area between the race/sports book and the centrifuge bar. It can get noisy when the casino is busy, but not overly so - I found the background noise fairly easy to tune out. The area itself is modern and very well looked after. Tables are very nice. I have no clue why people complain about the marble racetracks as they're a very convenient place to put chips, and theres a padded rail in front of the racetrack to rest your elbows on.
I have little experience with playing live poker, so I stuck mainly to 2-4 and 3-6 limit. The players there were a glorious mixture, ranging from extraordinarily drunk tourists who would cold call a 3-bet preflop with 6-4 offsuit (I actually saw this happen), to semiprofessionals who were 'just chilling' until the WSOP events started the next day. At a typical table, about half the players were either fairly experienced tourists or locals, one or two were ATMs, and one or two were sharks.
All the dealers I encountered were fast, competent and friendly. In about 6 hours of play I saw one mistake made (which cost me pocket kings, grrr!). Some notable characters included a crazy chinese woman who kept up this hilarious running commentary on the game as she dealt, and a very genial texan who made me (a first time casino player) feel very welcome.
Drinks were provided quickly and waitresses were very efficient. You won't get thirsty playing here. I only had water and red bull, so I can't comment on cocktails. Given that my girlfriend will read this, I'll refrain from commenting on the hotness of the staff as well!
Management was excellent overall. Waitlists were easy to see, tables were run very efficiently. The poker room seemed to hum along without much visible 'management' presence, which is a good sign they're doing things right.
Comps didnt seem so good compared to other places. You only get (I think) a free buffet if you play for more than 5 hours on a given day. But then again I'd much rather have a well run, high class poker room than better comps!
