I thought that this room was very good. The location was right next to the sports book and there was a bathroom very close to the tables. We had spent part of the day earlier looking at all of the other poker rooms that the different casinos had to offer and I feel that the MGM held it's own against several of the other rooms offered by the competition.
Most of the players at my table seemed to know what they were doing but I did notice that a lot of people payed to see the flop. I was playing a 2/4 limit hold'em game and I suppose at those low limits it's only common to have a lot of players see the flop for one or two raises. I did think it was funny though to see the large number of younger players wearing the sunglasses and baseball caps trying to be like the pros you see on espn.
The dealers seemed to be very good to me but this was my first time ever playing with a dealer so I don't have much to go on. There was one dealer who was very good and had a great personality. He was very friendly and funny and I felt that even added more to my first experience.
The girls were attractive and the drinks were good as well. They didn't arrive at the snap of a finger but they did make it there in a very reasonable amount of time. I did not get to taste any of the water but I can tell you that the vodka was in season.
I thought the player list was very well organized and the people working at the desk were more than happy to explain to me how to sign up for a game and then what would happen once my name was called. The wait was not that long at all considering it was a saturday night and the place looked pretty busy. I did not have any direct dealings with the management during my play.
I did not take advantage of any form of comps that are offered by the casino. Like I said earlier this was my first time in a poker room and wasn't even aware of the fact that they offer poker players comps as well.
