The room at the MGM sees alot of traffic. It sits right in the center of action and plenty of rail watchers gather. The chairs are super comfy and the tables are in great shape. I did not mind the Centerfuge bar next door because it brought many hot looking ladies to the rails. Overall, modern, classy, and upbeat. Not a stuffy old mans room at all.. For me, I enjoyed the atmosphere and felt comfortable.
I played 1/2 no limit from 3pm til 10pm on a saturday night. I wanted to play larger blinds but the wait was too long. For my $ 80.00 buy in, I walked with $420.00, not to bad. Most players were average to easy. I saw a couple of sharks pop in and out but I played very tight while they were there and held up just fine.
No real problems with the dealers. Only one was a pain. He was a old cranky man who did not seem to enjoy his shift at all but all others were helpful and friendly. Only one mistake that I noticed the whole game.
Drinks came quick. I stuck to ice tea and Red Bull. There was a couple of drunks at the table next to me with loud mouths. I laughed when they left an hour later chipless.. If you tip and WANT to catch a buzz, there would be no problems.
Management was on top of things and moved players in quick. They were friendly and helpful and kept the action going on a busy Saturday night.
I did not take part in the comps at the table but got me 1006 points in two hours after the game playing video poker and slots with only about 60.00 bucks lost. That was worth 2 dinner buffs the next night.. A 50.00 value so i'm not going to complain. I will probably get nice room rates for future trips.
