The room design is very creative and can give you a view of the sportsbook or even the lion's den depending on where you're sitting. The room is always very clean and the tables are great. I personally like the racetrack around the table. It's very rare that there is any marble on a poker table.
I believe this room holds the easiest competition throughout the whole strip. The competition is especially atrocious late at night with a great collection of drunks and overly excited tourists having a good time. During the day the game is still very profitable and they seem to always have multiple games going no matter what time of day it is.
I have had great experiences with the dealers at the MGM. They all seem to be very competent and many have nice personalities to go along with it.
Cocktail service can be either good or bad. There have been times where I was able to get a drink every 10 minutes and others where waiting 40 minutes between drinks was common. The bar is right next door so there is no excuse for the delay in service. Their variety of beer I remember was pretty good but I'm not sure about about any energy drinks or others.
I hardly ever remember the floor having to make any decisions at the table. There was one incident when a fellow had been talking about other people's hands during play. The floor came over and calmly told him to stop or he would be asked to leave. The brush staff at the front always seem to handle the lists very well and are very accommodating.
The MGM gives out $1/hr in the 1/2 NL game. I have only played this game and a little 3/6 Limit so i do not know if they offer more comps if you play at the higher limits. They do not take a drop for a bad beat/high hand so that is always a plus in my book.
