Beware MGM Grand players this room has been moved from its once notable location. The "room" has also lost over half its tables, apparently exchanged its old glamorous tables to crappy second-hand ones and it now appears as a sore thumb on the casino floor.
I guess the only positive thing I can say about it was that the new "poker corner" is right next to several fire exits, so if the casino catches on fire, the poker players will be the first out of the building. I have not kept up on all the Vegas poker news lately, but this one shocked me. From one of the best (and most profitable) rooms in Vegas, it now is clear that the MGM Grand has given up on poker after less than 7 years.
My advice: unless you are staying at the MGM for another reason, don't waste your time visiting the MGM's after-thought new poker....umm...corner.
