The room is spacious with plenty of room between tables. The cashier is in the middle of the room with No Limit on one side and Limit on the other. Funny thing was they switched which side of the room the games were on..so I looked a little frazzled by not being able to find my table. Luckly for me they had the Manager on the floor seating people. So, I guess that they had just switched sides. MGM has a very good player management system with LCD screens so you can keep up with your wait. I was suprised to get a seat in 2 minutes on a Friday Nite.
The Limit cash games play just a little bit tighter than most strip casino's. You still have the Local Rocks and the Semi Loose Passive Tourists, but with the plentifull NL games the Maniacs and Loose Aggressive players rarely sit in the Limit games. Play a good Tight Aggressive game and this room is very beatable. I have always walked away from the tables here up money. I have not played the tournaments here, but got quite an earfull from several people who played them. They did not like the new Sit-N-Go's that MGM developed with 1200 in chips and blinds changing every 12 1/2 minutes.
I rate the Dealers Good overall, but this last stop there were two pots pushed in the direction of the wrong player. Several exposed cards dealt, but not one mis-deal (WOW). This was not bad for an 8 hour sit. The dealers are competent and control the games well. They don't talk much which is fine with me. Some do their best to get the most hands per hour dealt.
The Cocktail service is great! The waitresses were all very attentive and speedy with your order. They came around often and did a good overall job. Heck they even serve Red Bull which is a plus in my book.
Management is on top of things. Very professional in their appearance and their rulings.
The usual $1 per hour played in comps. It goes on your comp card that the dealer swipes at the table. No jackpot's here. This also means no extra rake.
