In it's brief history, they never held any really good tournaments, but in the beginning they did listen to their customers and make the structure better.
After a couple months, the tournament players stopped coming, with no effort from Moneybags to run a tournament promo to bring them back.
Now, with their grand opening, they plan on running a Friday tournament that is their worst structured one yet: $50 with a $10 add on and you only get 15,000 chips. Absolutely horrible.
In Moneybags' defense, he is putting a $2000 guarantee with it, but with only 15,000 starting chips, it'll be a shove fest by the 3rd or 4th level. No thanks.
Now, they're running great promos for cash game players for their grand opening, so if that's your thing, definitely go give Moneymaker's a try. They have the best dealers in the area, and it's the most secure place to play poker in the area, with armed guards at the door at all times.
But if you're a tournament player like me, I recommend going to Club Jaqk. They run DEEP STACK tournaments everyday, and they actually make an effort to run promos for their tournament players.
