It was just opening night so aside from very minor glitches things went really smoothly. Everybody was as attentive to us players as they could be they hired Christine to run the floor and I’ve known her from another poker room. She was always professional and smart so when I heard she was running this one, I knew it would be well run. She ran a pretty tight ship last night.
There were a couple of 1/3 NL games. Plus at least one table running half-and-half NL / PLO. And one 2/5 NL running, all by the time I left it around 10 o’clock.
Of course, overtime things could change and I will keep my eye up-to-date.
The only thing I didn’t like was seeing how many chip runners were taking care of customers who either didn’t know, or didn’t care, that these guys work for tips too. hopefully this works out and either folks learn that they should really consider tipping to have someone run them chips or they can just walk to the cage themselves for free. but no one complained or grumbled. They were very professional all night. Hope they’re able to keep this positive energy up. It was a great way to start a new poker room.
