Poker Room Review - Muckleshoot

I made my way to this poker room recently for the tourney series. I'm from PDX and don't generally play in the Seattle area.

I found that the tourney's were ran efficiently and the players were well taken care of with food, swag, and good service.

The cash games however were on "poor" side. The waiting list's were very large for a room with so many empty tables. The games offered were minimal. Mostly, 4/8 Holdem, 4/8 Omaha 0/8 w/Kill, 3/5 NL, and some 5/5 and 5/10. No higher limit holdem games short of the 100/200 stalk full of bracelet winners, and seasoned pro's.

The dealers in this casino were 90% very good 9% average and 1% very poor. So by and large very good.

The floor staff however I can only judge on the table management and games available. These two areas were both very bad in my opinion.

I've read through some of the other reviews and this seems to be pretty common in terms of player experience.

The rake was $5 with $1 for badbeat jackpot. This was definately on the higher side in my experience. The food was 1/2 off while playing at the table. The food was average at best and the food service was "great" in the tourney but they missed the mark in the cash game area.

Sadly, I don't think I'll be attending anymore poker tourney series at the Muckleshoot. There is no hotel on site, cash games are lacking and tedious. The rake is higher than most. I'll just hop a flight to Vegas or So Cal .... good luck.

Be wary of any place that doesn't like to start games when lists are 14-20 players deep and the rake is $6.

Competition - Cash games filled with local (rocks) people that are very tight TAG type players. Fish are pushed into their tables as quickly as possible. *Hint - watch out for guys watching movies or playing OFC on their phones.

Promotions and Comps - Bad Beat Jackpot 20K, standard A's full of 10's or something. High hand promotions most days. Comps - non other than 1/2 off food.

Dealers - 9/10 are very good. So I'd say that is quality.

Food and Drink - free soda, 1/2 food, hard A is $$$$

Management - Didn't seem to be player focused couldn't care less about starting new games. Tourney's were run very well.

*Not Sure if Muckleshoot Casino wants a poker room*
