The room had an energetic vibe due to being totally packed for their very successful weekday afternoon "Action Aces" promo. It is not large or elegant, but I find it pleasant enough and restrooms couldn't possibly be any more conveniently located for poker players. Space in the room is a little tight, but not bad. Lists are handled the old fashioned way, with pen and paper.
Competition at 4/8L varied all over the map from table to table on different days.
Some very good at running the game, a few inattentive exceptions, and most in-between doing fairly well most of the time. The usual bell curve found among staff in most rooms.
Palms cocktail servers are known for being unnaturally attractive & well equipped for their jobs, and they were pleasantly present. When their moms had sonograms they were no doubt told: "Congratulations Mrs Smith; you will be having a Las Vegas cocktail waitress!"
Floor staff was attentive & handled the crush of business efficiently & communicated clearly. They kept track of the paper list system effectively and filled seats promptly. I appreciate that they offered the option of text message or cell call when going on list.
Comps are exceptional, at rate of $2/hour plus free buffets. Hours are electronically tracked, and can be accumulated without limit or expiration.
