The main room was rather small with new tables and chairs. Several games were running. The high-limit room next door had one table of 2/5 NL -- with buy-ins from $200 to $1000. There's a daily NLHE tournament at 10 AM for $55.
This casino has tough players, as it is off The Strip and features excellent video poker and loose slots to attract local players. Players who seek out this poker room are serious. There were no tipsy tourists midweek. A lady sat down next to me who had made it to 115th from a field of 1,100 players in the Ladies WSOP NLHE tourney. Not a beginners' game. Fish? Probably you.
The dealers made no mistakes and were totally competent. When I got a phone call, they didn't let it hold up the game, probably a nice plus for the table.
Attractive cocktail waitresses. They brought orders quickly and never messed up an order.
Friendly and professional management. Unfortunately, the table wait was more than an hour.
There were high-hand jackpots for royal flushes. I didn't get one. You can earn up to $10 per day in comps, though.
