Just made Luxor my home base ( in Vegas)

Not really a "room" but moreso of a railLed off area. Now for the good part. It has the best and friendliest feel of any poker room that I have ever been in while in Vegas.Tables are spacious with cup holders. Chairs standard yet comfy! Vibes are nice.

Because of the numerous opportunities for free money a lot of locals frequent this room however they as a group have got to be some of the more personable locals that any poker room has. I guarantee that if you play there more than once during your visit you will get to know some of the locals and the tourists as a rule don't appear to be that knowledgeable, Heck they are the only poker room that I know of that has a 1-2 limit game for beginners that lets out after 3 hours which forces the newbies to frequent the 2-4 game with a variance of results!

Pound for pound I would put these dealers up againest any on the strip! A mixture of young and mostly veteran dealers who know what they are doing and for the most part friendly doing what they do!

Would give them a 5 however when the room is crowded the drinks service slows down considerably (only 1 waitress serving the room with 14 tables). Other than that they bring them faster than you can drink them. That's probably because the bar is right off the poker room floor. I mean you can see where the waitresses go into to get your drinks - less than 10 feet from the room. Top shelf booze and the waitresses???? Well lets just say that I have seen sexier ( try the I. P. for instance) but then they don't look and or dress like @#$% either!

The best run room on the strip (a close second goes to the Stardust poker room)! With all the extra promos that they have going they seem to take care of everyone with the quickness and with professionalism!

There is not enough room to tell you of all the great stuff that they have going on in this poker room. I used to get excited about the $3 bucks an hour (now lowered to $2) that the I. P. used to give you. But how about over $5 bucks an hour ...cash back. That's right. I played there Sunday and Monday, 4th of July weekend, for a total of 15 hours, which in turn qualified me for a Tuesday night 7 p.m. "Freeroll."
Basically what I had to do was show up at the poker room before 7 p.m. on Tues. night and give my name to the floor staff. They then pulled up my card which tracked my play so that they could see that I qualified for the "freeroll". They gave me a little card with a number (#29 in my case) sit down at a 2-4 game for about 15 minutes until they called my name and then "poof" they call my number, tell me to come to the desk and hand me $80.00 cold cash. At that point I could have gotten up and left but I continue to play because by me being seated before 7 p.m. I also recieved a little red raffle ticket which I hoped would be called at 8:45 pm. When they call 1 number for a $150.00 cash prize. Play 1 hour and 45 minutes and your are eligible for $150...twice (the other time is between 5-6:45p.m.) in the same night.

There are at least 4 other nights with 5 different giveaways/bonus tournaments/high hand tournaments that they perform at the Luxor on a weekly basis but I don't want to tell to much cuz I don't want MY room full of tourists next time I show up in Vegas..

They KNOW HOW TO TREAT A LOW LIMIT POKER PLAYER AT THE LUXOR!!!
