Although the room is small, there are always 2/4 limit and 1/2 NL games going. Other games are spread based on demand. Luxor features multiple freeze out tournaments with low buy ins. The room is in a central location and has a very relaxed feel. They also offer jhackpots ($20, $50, and $100) for quads or better.
Luxor features some of the softest games in either Las Vegas or Atlantic City. I have rarely sat at a table with more than 2 other good players.
Dealers are very competent, friendly, and knowledgable. Mistakes are quite rare, and I find the same dealers working visit after visit, which is a good sign.
Waitresses are friendly and very quick. Premium drinks are available. Quick service is helped by the room's location adjacent to Nefertiti's Lounge, where the service bar is located.
Management is very good and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table.
Comps are so-so, but that is to be expected for a low limit player like me. The attractive room rates for players offset the comp levels.
