Nice room, plenty of space between tables, the player card gets swiped at the table for the comps. There are no high hand bonuses, which is good for me. I prefer a $4 max rake, as opposed to a $5 rake for the rooms that have bonuses.
During the evening, there are up to 15 NL tables going. There are some strong players, but also weak players. Just need to fing the right table. A great place to make $.
Dealers are very professional. Not much interaction between dealer and players, which is what I like. I am here to play poker.
Management is visible, and usually touring the tables, which is great. However, something happened that I thought could have been avoided. At 5am on Wednesday, I started my session at a 1-2NL table. There was a loud drunk at the table. Now, I am sure there were a few players that have been drinking all night, but were not causing a scene. This guy was slowing the game down, occasionally swearing, and just being an idiot. At one point, he checked his phone, claimed he got a marriage proposal from his girfriend, and then slapped the guy beside him in the head. Everyone sort of laughed, but it was getting uncomfortable. He was warned by two dealers not to swear, and not to use his phone during play. Of course, he was doing both. At one point, he complained to the manger on duty about the dealer, and said he should be fired, because he wasn't dealt a hand while on the phone. You know where this is heading.....
Finally, the drunk loses an all-in hand, and just sore at the female dealer, calling her about 10 names in 3 seconds. The manager stood up and told the guy he was no longer welcome in the poker room. He left, but the dealer was VERY upset about the incident. She was shaking after this. I felt bad for her, and so did the rest of the table. I go to Vegas 4 or 5 times a year; anytime I play early morning sessions, there is usually some kind of incident like this that happens. I know that this is a business, and there are all kinds of customers, but how long should this be tolerated by dealers and players? The first sign of danger should be the last sign, and the player should be asked to leave.
$1 an hour. Standard.
