Tables were old with cigarette burns. They were also very close together and cramped. If you don't like cigarette smoke, then don't go here (I did not know this ahead of time, or I would have skipped the Palms). The cigarette smoke it extremely heavy at the Palms.
Average mix of newbies, locals, and rocks. At one point I looked up at a new player and it was Dan Harrington. Why he was sitting at a 2/4 table is beyond me. However, he did not play long (I am not even sure he ever placed a bet).
Competent, but not outstanding. I was sitting in seat ten, right next to the dealer, which for the most part was OK, except for one rather large dealer with a body odor problem. They never really interacted with the players other than to say "thank you" for the tips. No major mistakes, however.
Average looking, average service. Probably 20 - 30 minutes between order and delivery. Still better than Foxwoods, which can take over an hour if your order ever even shows up.
Management station is small. Paper list. Had me seated after waiting about 10 minutes.
Diamond flushes were entered into a drawing that was to be held later in the day (you had to be present to win). Nothing else was offered that I knew of.
