The tables suck. The surface slopes down towards the arm rest. As a result, any chip stack placed too close to the arm rest will fall over. They give you these crappy, cheap looking cup holders that slide under the arm rest to keep your drinks off a filthy table. This room was mediocre. There was little space between the tables and each other/the wall. The felt was nasty (there was a cigarette burn on my table). The chairs weren't particularly comfortable.
I played low limit (2-4). Pretty typical of a vegas low limit table (though the folks at the table on a Sat. afternoon were much older and nastier-looking that I would have expected from the Palms). A lot of calling stations and a couple of rocks.
Fairly solid dealing. Only 1 had personality. Rest were all business. 1 misdeal in a few hours. I improved from 2-9o in the big blind to k-k in the big blind. Misdeal me like that all day long.
Great drinks. Great waitresses.
Got you seated with chips quickly and efficiently. 1 gripe -- at the 2-4, the dealers change $1 chips into quarters for the rake. Pot winner will usually get $1-2 in quarters. When I went to cash out at the front desk, they refused to take back the quarters that they had given me.
Saw high hand jackpots on the board, rules on the wall. No winners at my table. Not aware of other comps.
