Manager, Matt, did a great job answering all of my questions and holding a GREAT conversation with me outside of poker. Emily, also answered my questions thoroughly. While Emily holds no certifications for massage therapy, her massage was GREAT, with the only recommendation being either apply a little more pressure or ask the client about their comfort level while incrementally increasing the amount of pressure being applied.
That being said, there was 0% attempt by house dealer to stop table talk (as long as it is in Spanish) while I observed 2 Spanish speakers assume I didn't speak Spanish bc of my skin color plus the fact I didn't respond to them talking @#$% about my appearance and the fact I'm from Dallas in the first few hands (not realizing I'm VERY fluent in Spanish and don't respond thusly as I'd like to hear what someone would like to say about me in Spanish under the impression I don't understand Spanish).
I was told, essentially, that enough clients that only speak Spanish bring in enough money that it's hard to catch it, veiled with "I don't speak Spanish" + "I have to hear it for myself bc I can't act upon someone just saying so."
I won't be back here, whatsoever, bc the dealers don't know Spanish, the manager doesn't know Spanish, yet we are accommodating Spanish-speaking clientele here. I bought into a low tournament and threw $50 on the cash table to get a better feel for how this place is.
Exceptional opportunity to collude so long as you speak Spanish, otherwise the Spanish speakers are protected by the house.
The environment is more welcoming, the staff are friendly and are more than helpful, b7t after spending 30+ minutes listening to people talk @#$% in Spanish about me being from Dallas and NO action taken by the dealer, house, or wandering supervisor, I strongly doubt I'm ever coming back. Best $200 spent was meeting this amazing manager and Emily, but first and last time here, for me. Heed ye be warned.
By the way, "we don't take a rake like those other places" isn't a flex, it's you complying with the law.
