huge room with comfortable height adjustable swivel chairs, no racetrack, just the way I like it
lots of easy 1-2 NL games to chose from, my buddy made good money against weak locals and drunken and/or clueless tourists. At least 7 games were running. I played a very juicy 4-8 with half kill Omaha8/b game with suprisingly loose players. Grumpy old nits? Old indeed, but very friendly and quite loose. Thats my experience after playing this game once on a friday for 5 hours. Struggeled to leave with a marginal loss, but thats due to the fact that I suck in this game. Should have lost big time like I did at the Venetian. 1/2 kill counts at scooped pots with $60 by the way, so it plays a little smaller than the game at Venetian. I will get more experience online an read the books, then I'll try to win next year...
after visiting 8 poker rooms in vegas the two by far slowest dealers were to be found at the Orleans. But they both obviously have a lot of experience and made up for it by being the quickest in anouncing the winning hands in Omaha8/b. 1 of them made the only misdeal I saw in Vegas though. Everybody else was doing ok, but not more.
very quick service, you'll have to focus more on drinking than playing if you try to have your bottle empty every time the waitress drops by. Don't no about what alcoholics they actually serve, but those who wanted to get drunk had no problems doing so and I got my soda whenever I wanted one.
kept the games running smoothly, filled empty seats quickly, did not witness any situation when floor had to be called so can't say anything about it.
think it's the usual 1$/h, rate this more than average because max. rake is 3$ so I can talk myself into believing the 1$ jackpot drop is "free" and kind of a true comp that way. Somehow. Maybe. You know?! Guess I just love the room...
