Enjoyable Room

MC was a comfortable room, not flashy, reminds me of a homegame type atmosphere. It's located in an out of the way place, so there isn't anything around to distract you from the poker game at hand.

There were 4 people at my $1/$2 table who were of the "drunken gambooler" breed...clearly there to have a great time, laughing, hooting and hollering, and drinking non-stop. Fortunatley all had deep pockets and I witnessed one fellow rebuy ($200 per) 4 times during the course of the night. The rest of the people at my table were a mixture of locals and tourists who were either not drinking or were casually drinking (myself included) and were there simply to assist the drunken 4 on their quest to rid their wallets of $$$... The good players tended to sit patiently and wait for a solid hand, as the drunken 4 were calling stations to the end on a neverending hunt for catching a big bluff. I bought in for $200 at 9pm and cashed out +$500 at 5:30am only because I had to catch a cab to McCarron Airport. The game I played that particular night with those particular players was definately easier than the homegames I'm used to.

Overall, I'd rank the dealers as good, however there were dealers that I felt individually were excellent and some that I would rate as bad. I have played at other casinos in LV and the dealer's at MonteCarlo seem to be in line with the other poker rooms. There were a few instances late late night, that one or more of the drunken 4 started to get a bit out of hand verbally and the dealers were fairly quick to bring things to an end.

Only had 1 waitress late night, who was attractive and attentive. I ordered my drink once, and never had to repeat my drink of choice again. She would simply appear and ask if I'd like another in a timely fashion. A+

I'll say average simply because the only interaction I had was to request a voucher for the food court...The manager asked if I had been playing for awhile, and at this point I had been playing in the room nonstop for about 5 hours and felt that she should have at the very least recognized me - with the room being on the smaller size...I also had to wait sometime for her to come out of her office out back in order to ask for the voucher.

Par for the course with other LV poker rooms. I think mine was for $8.
