Room was quiet, only one table was being used on a Friday morning, room is not hard to find, first walked in room felt comfortable, helps to calm me down, a first time tourney player. Photos of the room needed to be updated, all the inlaid TV screens have been replaced with 40 inch plasmas. Clean tables with a wooden race track, okay chairs, individual cupholders, dedicated clean poker room chips. Restrooms were out the door and immediately to the left about 20 feet away. Some of the players asked to have the plasmas changed from split screen to full to watch the World Cup.
Was there to play in 9am tourney, all the players were light hearted, nobody came to table with a dead on serious look on there face.
Before beginning the game explained some basic rules for the tourney, a couple of late walkins were also talked to once they sat down. No misdeals.
Average looking cocktail waitress was there at beginning of the tournament to take orders, came back with the drinks within 10 minutes. Couldn't tell your about quality of the drinks, only had bottled water. Waitress came around about every 15-20 mins. didn't hear anybody say anything about wrong orders.
As soon as I walked in, room manager was seated at a table in front of me, asked if I was here for the 9am tournament, took down my name and my $40 buy in and explained the optional $10 add on at beginning of the tournament. Asked me to choose a card in front of me for my seat assignment. Manager came to get the add on money before cards were dealt told everybody to enjoy themselves and to have fun.
Comp rating is probably average $1 per hour of play. Comps and jackpots don't apply to tournament. They did however, asked if you have a players card. One tournament player was dealt QQ and flopped the other two for quads, dealer didn't say what the player could have gotten.
