They definitely have the old world thing going on. Hey, it's the Chesterfield Club!
Kind of a small room but not too cramped. Tables are fairly roomy (more so than MGM). The tables that I played at (4/8 and 3/6) had automatic shufflers, although the one at the 3/6 table kept jamming. The one thing I didn't like about the tables was the condition of the felt. A few stains, pilling, cards didn't glide and it just kinda felt scummy. Speaking of scummy, the chips were quite filthy (even worse than the cardroom I play at back home!) They are rabid about no use of cell phones in the poker room, so don't even try.
One thing that got real old real fast was the @#$% casio music from the slots just outside of the poker room!
Mostly older players with a fews young 'playas' and a couple of drunks. Made for a fairly loose game and a bit of a crap shoot (1 guy called me down to the river thinking he had a pair of 6s (46d in the pocket and 2h 6s 9d 10d 3d on the board) and the dealer had to point out that he actually had a flush (beat my QQ, doh!)
The dealers weren't bad, no major mistakes. A couple of misdeals with new players coming in and waiting for the button. I had to hear the speach about their high hand jackpot every time a new player came in, which got old real quick.
Service was quick and plentiful. The waitresses (at least the ones that I saw) were quite bosomy with outfits that just kinda put what they had right out there.
The host was quick a efficient. I like have the 'board' where I can see it, rather than a list at the podium, but with the room being as small as it is getting the floor's attention to ask about table changes and such was pretty easy.
Didn't play there long enough to ask about their comp system, but it was night to have a high hand jackpot!
